SUBJECT: New Key Card Entry to the Club Building and Swimming Pool
This notice is to inform ATC Club members that the Board approved the purchase and installation of a key card entry system. This will replace the keys that members currently use. This decision was part of the adoption of the 2008 ATC Budget that was proposed by the ATC Finance Committee.
The purpose of the new system is for liability purposes and to provide improved security for the Club premises and safety for members. When the new system is installed, this means the following:
Ø A key card system will be installed on the Club’s front door and the gate to the swimming pool and outdoor courts. These will be the only accesses to the Club facilities for members. However, the pool gate will have a chain lock during the non-pool season (mid September to Memorial Day weekend).
Ø Members will be issued one key card with its own unique code. The first card will be at no charge. There will be a $10 charge for each additional card.
o If a card is lost, stolen, or damaged due to negligence, a new one can be purchased for $10.00.
Ø Members can obtain their first card by contacting Tim Layman or Travis Lewin.
Ø The Club will be closed from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each day. The key card system will automatically lock the entry door during those times. Also, timers on the court lights will be installed so that the lights will automatically shut off 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Ø Members can exit the building through any of the doors without needing to use the card.
Ø The other outer doors to the Club premises will be rekeyed. The Club Manager/Pro will have a new master key for those doors.
Ø When a member terminates her/his membership, the card will be deactivated.
Ø The system will be linked to the Club’s computer system so that if the need arises, reports can be generated showing the time of entry and whose card was used.
Ø The new system will become active by December 1, 2008. Until then, members can use their existing key to enter the club.
